What makes CBS different?
Classical Ballet School provides pre-professional, classical ballet instruction in a formal, small-group setting for students committed to learning and progressing in their understanding and execution of classical ballet technique and artistry. CBS class sizes are limited and placement is determined by the Director.
Depending on the student’s level, additional classes in contemporary dance, conditioning, character dance, musical theatre, and variations are included.
Classical ballet instruction begins at age 5 with our unique Enchanted Forest Pre-Ballet program. This class is an imaginative story-based journey that weaves together an appreciation for the beauty of nature, classical music, ballet technique, and friendship.
Performing experience is an essential part of the Classical Ballet School curriculum. All CBS students perform each June in an original, full-scale, professional-quality ballet. Our ballets have included Coppelia, Hansel & Gretel, The Twelve Dancing Princesses, The Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, The Snow Queen, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Rapunzel, The Nightingale, Snow White & Rose Red, Raven Wing, and The Princess and the Pea.
